Saturday Love - Boyfriend and Boyfriends?

At 21st century, we girls tend to have boyfriends, and by that I mean, "male friends".
And likewise, given a masculine character like me, I have quite a couple of close friends who are guys too. If you peeps have been reading this space for a while now, you should probably see the same few male faces spammed in my picture entries. Yep, that's them. :)

Anyway, having male friends is seen as something perfectly normal to me.
However, it's a whole different ball game when you start having a boyfriend who is NOT a personal friend of your boyfriends.

And it upsets me, alot.
(Yes, I am currently facing such a situation.)

I don't blame Mr. Salty for behaving this way.
As in, him being unhappy and all.. As I believe that the problem lies in the generation gap. (Ahh, I can't believe that I associate every problem faced in this relationship to the AGE. But yah, I really think so. )

It's such a tough choice to choose between, boyfriends and boyfriend.
I wish I will never be forced into a situation where they have to be mutually exclusive. Either this or that blah blah, nooo! I hate to make such decisions.
I mean, friends are really hard to come by, and likewise, sparks and chemistries as hard. So, it really torn me when Mr. Salty is unhappy about my acquaintance with them. It's like a, "are-you-going-to-save-your-mother-or-me-when-we-both-are-drowning situation".

You know, the existence of this problem really propels the start of other problems.
It became really hard for me to speak freely to/ with him. I mean, he's probably going to be irritated, and make some remarks about my boyfriends which in turn irritate me.
Get the drift eh?

I've yet to come up with a really good game plan for this ball game. :(
Maybe y'all can help me out?

Leave a comment below (and not on Facebook)!
Give me some suggestions to rectify this problem.
Or simply share your stories, and/or past experiences.

I love reading love stories.
It's probably my biggest reason for starting Saturday Love. :)

Heels. I like them parallel.

If I have to name one greatest weakness, it got to be SHOES. Well, particularly heels.
Wearing and buying a new pair of heels is like the happiest joy ever. So much to the extend whereby my cheeks will flush with the inner-most desire. (I sound like I am writing some erotic stories. Ehem.) Well, in fact, merely seeing pictures of them from the net gets my adrenaline pumping!! Like I said, greatest weakness. I'm like obsessed.

Anw, I had this new realisation just minutes before writing this entry. My favourite favourite kinda shoes which makes my heart beat 96543213x faster, are actually platforms with heels that are parallel. O.O!

I bet everyone knows my love for Miumiu Spring Summer 2010 collection.

Notice the heel? It's like a parallel block! Omg loves! I seriously don't understand why local MiuMiu stalls aren't selling SS collections lo! It's still summer what!? Why are the selling FW collections already! *insert sad face. I absolutely LOVE the shape of the heels from this collection. I'm so glad that I've yet to see any girls doning this heartthrob of mine in Singapore. Otherwise, I would just cry and die, like on the spot.

Another favourite of mine has to be Balenciaga Fall Winter 2010 collection.
(I can't seem to find the campaign pictures, maybe they are not out yet? - how can it be!?)

Look at the heel. Yes! Parallel block. Seriously. I really LOVE such heels. In fact, I love the flap thingie too. But that's not the main point now. Haha. Fashion is seriously sick. To be very honest, I've never ever liked Balenciaga previous collections. Ugly. But, all it takes it just one cool concept, one brilliant idea, and tahbah. All eyes on you. Poof and in the limelight. Sick! Click to see their Balenciaga FW 2010. Really chio! Futuristic and all.

------

I am no designer, nor artsy fashion people. But I really wish I could one day design and manufacture my own shoes. I've been having this thought for a long time now. Mr. Salty agree that I should give it more thought, and weigh the feasibility of it. Ahh, but definitely not now. Imma go back to my business calculus book, and do some practice.

Elo Elmomo Milo! iPhone Randomness.

Hey all! I am blogging via iPhone!
I'm currently shamelessly sitting at one of the tables outside KFC of FarEastPlaza (alone) typing away.

Ugh, it's such a pity that blogger mobile doesn't have the function to upload pictures directly from the phone into the blog entry. I was thinking of sharing some pictures from my iPhone folders with y'all. Guess I'll have to load 'em to my comp then upload 'em here..

God I'm so bored now I wish I could blog on my laptop. (My sister just called and my heart sank, thinking that this entry gna be unsaved and deleted! But no it's still here.)

I should probably shop since I'm alr at FEP yea? But no! I can't seem to find things I like (that is worthy to buy). I think I am going to borrow sewing books from the library and (hopefully) make some wearable clothes. I mean, don't you think SGD$40 for those maxi skirts with just the spandex thingie for the waist part is too much? I'll just buy the cloth and hand sew one for myself lo! It'll be fitting and def cheaper than $40!

I should probably play iPhone games than blog eh? But I'm afraid I'll make a geek face while playing (which I probably will). That's why I only play iPhone games in the toilet. So no one can see my geek face.

I think I should add a new category into my blog. iPhone Randomness. Idea ah?! iPhone randomness it shall be!

Ahh! I can't think of anymore to say.

End.

Saturday Love - It's like rainbows and unicorns.

You must be kidding me, rainbows and unicorns?!
Haha! Rainbows and unicorns sound so sweet dreamy and all yea?
But not.

I came up with this awesome fantastical idea to SUBSTITUDE WORDS.
"Rainbows and unicorns" is just a secret code.
The decoded version is, "I've been working for the whole day, and I'm really tired."
Smart or what?!

Honestly, this substitution of words help, alot. (I've been using this for close to 2 weeks)
You see, I get really pissed, upset, irriated and annoyed whenever he has to say the decoded version.
But, now with rainbows and unicorns, the world's a much lovelier place!

------
A typical conversation to pop this code should go like this,
Me,"Let's watch movie tonight!"
Salty,"Darling, it's like rainbows and unicorns."
Me,"Uhh, ok lo."

It's so much better than,
Me,"Let's watch movie tonight!"
Salty,"Darling, I've been working for the whole day, and I'm really tired."
Me,"Wth!? Since when are you not working, and not tired!!?"
------
Get the drift eh?!
Try this with your boy/girlfriend, and share your secret codes with me!

Step by step guide : Asiprin exfoliating mask.

Today, I am going to show y'all how to make my ultimate all time favourite DIY mask.
But before I start, I have to stress that this mask are not for people who are allergic to aspirin.
So, if your doctor says you can't eat aspirin, it's best to not put it on your face either.

I believe that many of you (girls esp) out there often hear makeup gurus like Ricebunny and Petrilude raving about Aspirin masks.
But the problem is that, they reside in the states, and the exact products they use are not available to us in SG.
But I found something that's save for the face in local pharmacy!

These are the items you'll need.
You can purchase Disprin from any local pharmacy. I got mine from Unity. It's like $7+?
Note to use non-metal stuff when dealing with honey.
Honey is in it's simplest form, and it might cause certain reaction w metals.
(Papa told me that, idk how true it is, but yaa.)
Any regular honey will do!

A teenee bit of water will do.
Actually, it comes with practice. Too much water will cause the concoction to be runny.
Which isn't what you want, as you want the mask to stick onto your face, and not drool down.
Do this mask often enough and you'll get the best mix!
I've been doing this for 2yrs+. So mine's super zai for my face size.

Honey helps to moisturize, leaving your skin super smooth.
If you are allergic to honey, you can substitute honey with aloe gel (my sis says aloe gel doesn't work well)!
It is not advisable to use aspirin alone.
It might be a lil drying, and the aspirin powder will fly everywhere when the water dries.

This is the last step!
This mask can be use as a cleanser, so you don't have to use your regular cleanser after.
Pat your skin with a dry towel after exfoliating, and clean your face with a non-alcoholic toner.
(I'm using the toner from Simple, the entire range is for sensitive skin.)
And I always complete the entire mask thingie with Evian facial spray.
(Though I think it's optional, but it just feels good. ^^)

Do this 3 times a week, and I swear that your skin condition will improve tremendously.
Both my sister and I have been putting this stuff on our skin for years.
And we have one of the most sensitive skin type around.
So, if my skin can take this, I believe there shouldn't be any problem for you!!

ASPIRIN
Aspirin is made out of salicylic acid also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid, BHA for short. BHA is an exfoliate and has anti-inflammatory properties. It causes the cells on the epidermis to unstick itself, removing the dead skin cells off and allowing regrowth for new skin. Studies have shown that BHA improves wrinkles, hyper pigmentation of the skin, photodamaged skin, roughness and acne. [source]

HONEY
Honey can be used as a mild antiseptic. When raw honey is mixed with water, it produces hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is a mild antiseptic and can be used on cuts and abrasions. Honey promotes new tissue growth. Honey makes a great exfoliant. It contains mild alpha hydroxy acids, such as gluconic acid. These acids are very safe to use on skin and can loosen bonds between the dead skin cells, making it easier to shed this dead layer. These acids also increase elasticity, balance out oily skin, stimulate collagen production, and minimize lines and wrinkles. Honey contains amino acids, which help the skin retain its essential moisture. [source]

Give this mask a try, leave a comment below!
I hope this works for y'all! Because it has fantastic effects on me!
Okay, I am off to making another serving of this mask for myself!
Tata, enjoy!
^^

Saturday Love - This ol' man.

Many of y'all have been asking, and yes. Mr. Salty is 27yo, and here I am, being 19yo.
If you do the math, we're 8years apart.

If you were to ask if I prefer dating younger or older men, I think I am going to choose the latter.
Not as if younger guys are lousy or not as attractive, don't get me wrong.
But I think older men are more "emotionally and financially stable".
It's like, what more can I ask for, right.

But then again, dating a guy that 27yo when I'm still a teen has it down sides too.
He's working hard, crafting and approach the peak of his career, thinking of marriage in 3 years or so.
Whereas here I am, yearning for more attention, playful, schooling, yet to start a career.
More often then not, he's tired. And doesn't have the necessary energy to do what young people like to do.
He hates to club, and he falls asleep in the movies. Hurr. T.T
But then again, dating an older guy is like love on a whole new level altogether!
It's like, there's so much trust and respect.
So much lesser stuff to quarrel about. So little problem to deal with.
It's almost a blissfully married kinda feeling.
I don't know how to put it. Haha.

Alright.
I'll leave the rest for next week!

(P.s. Do check back at 10.10am tmr! Another Step by step guide/tutorial will be up!)

Hola!

Heyyayyayyay! How have y'all been!? It's been such a hectic hectic hectic week for me! I'm so glad it's coming to an end! It was really saddening yesterday and I just want to share it on my blog! I woke up in the morning knowing that I was dead drunk the night before (cfm fucking paiseh, and I never ever want to go through it in my life ever again). And thereafter, receiving a text message from my classmate saying that I failed one of my class test (with 1 mark). FMLBT!

You know, I'm not that kind that fail tests and exams. Taking 听写 (chinese spelling test) aside -.- , I don't recall failing anything before. Ugh, what a let down to my personal well-being. I'm extremely irresponsible for allowing myself land at this stage LAH. But you know what? One fail is enough, imma get myself back on track! :)

People! Have a great weekend, and remember never to let yourself down!

(p.s Love my colourful pastel nails? Looking at it totally made my day. ^^)
(p.s.s Do check back tmr at 5.55pm to read Saturday Love.)

Saturday Love - Miss Vinegar?

Mr. Salty told me that I should be called Miss Vinegar, since he is Salty.
Because, I love to eat Lays Salt and Vinegar chips. (-.-)
And because I love to 吃醋.
So, being Mr Salty and Miss Vinegar makes us a pair!

How can a 27yo be so cute?
Aww!!

Hey all! It's Saturday. I've decided to make a point to blog about my LOVE LIFE on every Saturday! Isn't it awesome!? Now, at least there's something for all of us to look forward to. ^^ Click onto the label at the bottom of this entry to read the previous entry before continuing. Otherwise, you gonna be blur. Step by step guide : DIY Greentea toner/mask

As most of you should probably know,
I had a sudden outburst of pimples.

Mainly due to stress + unsuitable makeup products + OR stomach/lung irritation.
(p.s. I got the stomach/lung irritation from acne face mapping.)
(I'll talk more about acne face mapping in my coming entry!)
And, I've been raving about finding an awesome cure for it in my
And yep, it is GREENTEA!
It is so effective and I am going to show you how.

Firstly, this is the Green tea I used and gave me results.
I believe you can purchase any other greentea, they should work the same.

Secondly, you'll need a container to keep the tea in.
I personally prefer a small container, so as to remind me to drink green tea everyday.
Otherwise, I'll be out of tea to put on my face. Heh. Discipline.
Furthermore, I think it's better to have fresher tea, I suppose.
But since it's an anti-oxidant, it shouldn't matter if you keep it in your fridge for a couple of days.

Next, you can start making your tea!
Pour hot water just enough to cover the tea bag.
You want your toner to be concentrated.
(p.s. I am not using the same tea as above. I ran out of it this morning.)
(The result was too amazing, both my sister and I kept making tea. -.-)

Pour the tea into your container! And put it into the fridge!
(Hello, wait till it's not so hot. Don't scald yourself.)

That's me doing a demo. LOL!
Sorry, that was 2 nights ago after I shower.
So, I was in my nightie. Omg, *shy*.

Directions

Soak your cotton pad with chilled Green tea.
Use it like a toner.
And leave it to dry on your skin.
Do not wash off. Your skin will absorb it.

Do a patch thingie on very bad area of your skin
(like the picture above),
and leave it to dry, or go to sleep.

Alternatively,
you can buy those mask sheets, soak the entire sheet w greentea,
and mask yourself with it!

--

The results are AMAZING I swear.
Look.
See the whole white square patch.
WHITENING.
(p.s. You may envy my eyeslashes. *blink blink blink*)
(p.s.s Quit staring at my eyebrows.)

Green tea contains a high level of antioxidants effective in preventing acne, as the antioxidants fight against free radicals that damage cells and tissues. Green tea is also known for its antibacterial properties that work against propionibacterium, the bacteria that causes acne. By fighting against acne causing bacteria, green tea reduces skin inflammation keeping it calm. Green tea also helps in stabilizing hormone activity, which also keeps acne in control.  [Source]

Other than putting Green Tea on your face,
remember to drink it everyday!

Let's all work towards beautiful and healthy skin!
^^

JiaMing Birthday.

It's my brother's Birthday yesterday!!
He turned 14!
 Yay!

I didn't know that it was his birthday in the morning,

Haha.
Happy Birthday Jia Ming!

Stress much.

I've been seriously undergoing stress. And stress equates to pimples, which in turn cause me even more stress than what I was already experiencing. It's like a viscous! Boohoo. Hopefully, the anti-biotics prescribed by the doctor is going to work. Fingers crossed, and praying hard.
Anyway, other than pimples, I am mainly stressed about 1) school, and 2) my weight. I know it's a little kuku about 2) weight. I'm just 40kg. But honestly, I've been gaining weight, judging that I was just 37kg previously, and I haven't the time to exercise like how I used to about a year back (I ran 2.4km every other day). Fats and cellulite are seriously starting to haunt me. It's like I feel so sorry for myself, for allowing myself come to this stage. Ugh.

Stress much. Unhappy much.

(p.s. My hair condition seems good from this picture right? It's like the only good thing about this entry. Heh. )
(p.s.s I'll introduce this very effective hair product to y'all in my coming entry! Wait up!)
(p.s.s.s I am taking off the stress in real life, and blasting it into the cyber world.)

Saturday Love - Introducing Mr. Salty

As mentioned in one of my entries below, I am seeing someone.
And, if you've been following my Twitter, you should prolly know that he's referred to as,
MR. SALTY.

So, why is he called Mr. Salty?
Alright. This gna be funny.

He was a fatty when he was a kid.
Fatty as in real deal fat kinda fat boy.
(p.s. So he's still fat in his IC. Which is damn hilarous!)

Anw, being fat, his teacher chose him to be Mr. Salty in some health awareness week thingie.
And he was to do up a skit to be presented to the school.

The start of the speech was,
"Hello every body, I am Mr. Salty."

And now, he has become, my Mr Salty.

Step by step guide : To mega huge dolly eyes

I know, it's been a long time since I last did a tutorial.
I'm sorry! I'm undergoing stress these days.
So, kinda grabbing on to as much private time I can have resting.

Anyway, as promised,
I am going to show y'all how to acheive the eyes I had when I went Zouk last Friday.

Here we go! :)
Though I don't think it's great work done,
but hope y'all like it!

 --

Step 1: It's all about the lenses.
It's simple, the larger the circumference of the lenses, the larger the eyes.
I was wearing brown lenses at the Zouk picture,
but I've yet to wash them properly, so I wore my grey ones.

Oh, pardon my eyebrows, I haven't find the time to trim them.
Heh.

Step 2: Colours that pop!
If you readers have eyes like mine (narrow double eyelid),
note that the trick to have seemingly larger eyes lies in the bottom of the eyes, and not the lids.
No worries about looking like a panda!
Simply choose eye shadows with high jewel content.
They'll lessen the tendency of messy panda eyes.
*Point 4 is crucial and a must for large dolly eyes!

Step 3: Black lines.
The reason for a thin eyeliner is to show as much double eyelid as possible.
Taking my eyes for an example, I have only a narrow area in the fold.
So, a thin line will define my eyes, yet not make the double eyelid disappear.
*It is important to join the end of the eyeliner
with the bottom dark eyeshadow.
This step visually increases the eye area.

4. Fan-like eyelashes.
I believe most of you are already familiar with this step.
False eyelashes and much mascara!

Step 5: Don't forget the bottom.
Note to wear false bottom eyelashes with transparent bone.
It gives a more natural look as compared to those with a black bone.

Do leave a comment, at the comment section below.
Share your exp/pictures if you've tried this tutorial.
Ask me questions, share some tips, etc.
Hope to see some response.
^^

(p.s. I know this contact lens don't suit me, as my hair colour is too warm. But I was lazy to wash e brown lens.)
(p.s.s. I think I should do a video in the future to better share some tips, tricks and techniques with y'all.)
